For a “toss-up” state, how do we frame a completely, ever encompassing LTE that all—potential—readers are able to acknowledge? Given we are non-partisan, how can we assure we grab the attention of all readers, not solely our “ideal” audience?

Hi Andrew, this is Jos. I think you try to frame it in a way that makes is hard for people to argue against. For example, it's hard for anyone to legitimately argue that kids should go hungry, so you can use that as your focus in talking about the importance of SNAP in helping kids stay healthy.

Speaking from our AZ group, we have a “lame-duck” Senator and a “vacant” seat. Ought we frame it to those select few in our LTE’s or for all readers? We cannot “campaign” but we can do something. What does this “something” look like?

As of today, can do a "with Senator Kyl returning to Congress, he can support bipartisan efforts to protect food assistance"

or perhaps focus and specifically name your two Senate candidates (which will pay dividends short-term since they are in the House, and longer term)
