Debbie- TB generally just spreads from person to person. One goal of the global health community is to focus on R&D to develop a vaccine to prevent that transmission, but options are extremely lacking right now.

There was a mention of latent TB earlier. Can Maggy or Ken recap the difference between latent and active TB? When we say 10M people in the world are sickened by TB each year, is that the latent or active number?
