Here's Pat's Question: This summer RESULTS advocates met with over 350 Senate and House staff calling for no less than $20 billion in foreign aid in any next deal. Your letter with Sen. Rubio to Leadership was incredibly helpful in emphasizing the bipartisanship that global health and humanitarian efforts enjoy. It’s clear Maryland has strong supporters for foreign aid - but I’m not sure the message is totally getting through still elsewhere in America. What message do you think works best with other offices? How do RESULTS advocates make sure Leadership is paying attention here?
Hi folks, if you have questions for Sen. Van Hollen. please submit them here.

Can we get a list of the swing state Republican Senators so we can ask friends and family to call if they live in those states?
Great question, Lisa. Here are a few: Gardner (CO), Collins (ME), Ernst (IA), Tillis (NC), McSally (AZ), Daines (MT), Graham (SC), Capito (WV)
We care greatly about Medicaid but it is not one of our current requests. Our focus is primarily on housing right now, with targeted work on SNAP and EITC/CTC.
