What level of awareness of universal vouchers exists in the current US Congress (ie. who in Congress is working towards this goal at present ?)

How much would universal vouchers cost?

The bill is called Ending Homelessness Act of 2021

Is there research on the economic benefits to landlords/community more broadly if these vouchers were more widely available?

As a reminder, Presidential Candidate Biden also proposed universal vouchers -- though not on the table in recovery/Build Back Better proposals.

Why isn't AMI used to adjust all federal direct monetary assistance programs - I've heard this is too complicated, but what I see here, it's already been figured out.

The shame of the proposed reductions is that it is not necessary in terms of funding. There is plenty of available money. It's about priorities. Thank you for the update.
