Gives a great opportunity for folks to connect across the state as well, amplifies the power of advocacy to our Senators.

in these first 30 days, we really wanna get the new volunteer connected & in the loop with group logistics and hopefully establish a personal relationship with someone in the group :)

Great point Betsy, especially since we are doing so much contact via Zoom. We need to focus on the individual and making more connections to develop our relationships with them.

As a newbie celwebrating 1 year I would to have acronyms explained in writing whenever thery appear.

Many of our new advocates do not live close to each other so connection is essential as it is with all relationships

Definitely Betsy, there's a conversation to be had about how poverty can cause mental health issues to deteriorate when they're trying to find resources. They all intersect! We're fixing the root of the issue, I feel like.

so many of these issues are intersectional!

Just think of the impact we’ve had on BBB, housing, CTC etc. it’s a celebration

+1 Betsy, so much work on that Housing letter, got it back on the table!

At one point my group used to celebrate “letters submitted”, not just the “letters published”… “emails sent” and not just “emails answered by the MoC….

That's a great idea Lynne! A lot of times we don't control what gets published, but the work and courage in submitting the letter is so important!
