Join the Community Partnership Group (CPG) at CLASP and the Experts on Poverty (EOPs) at RESULTS on Wednesday, September 14th at 3:00 pm EST for a webinar revisioning the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health’s guiding Five Pillars.
For the first time in fifty years, the White House will be convening a conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health this September. The Five Pillars meant to define the scope of the conference are intended to help identify actions to be taken by all levels of government, nonprofits, and private companies to end hunger in the United States by 2030. But as the Five Pillars currently stand, they do not reflect the insight of the real experts – the people whose knowledge comes from direct experience with hunger, poverty, and the social systems meant to alleviate both.
This webinar will address the root causes of hunger, the role government and systemic racism and inequity play in hunger, and offer solutions based on the experiences and the realities of people experiencing hunger face every day.
We look forward to having you join this important conversation.
